Licensed Psychologist 

Job Description:

Thriving Minds Health Services is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and Licensed Clinical Psychologist to help us aid our community. At TMHS, you will provide quality services to a diverse population, and work with our team of clinicians to uphold our mission and philosophy of care.  We provide treatment to traditionally underserved populations that is strengths-based, evidence-informed, and client-centered. 

We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist who can provide in-person individual/ group psychotherapy  to adult individuals, 18 years or older, and/or young adults, 13 to 17 years old. 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Psychological assessments according to company policy and standards 

  • Conduct intake evaluations 

  • Conduct Group and Individual Therapy sessions 

  • Administer and interpret psychological tests, generate comprehensive reports and provide recommendations

  • Complete psychological discharge summaries in a timely manner 

  • Advocate for the best interests of clients

  • Generate a concise treatment plan to meet clients’ needs and meets compliance for third party payors  

  • Keep consistent communication on the progress towards treatment plan

  • Maintain proper boundaries when interacting with clients and their families, as well as others associated with the case 

  • Maintain confidentiality with current and former clients

  • Respond to requests and questions of clients in a timely manner

  • Comply with local and regional policies 

  • Participate in departmental administrative, clinical, educational meetings 

  • Comply with APA’s Code of Ethics and state laws pertaining to the delivery of mental health services

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

  • Licensed as a Psychologist in Nevada allowing you to provide unsupervised mental health therapy services.

  • Experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices.

  • Proficiency in intake assessments, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment planning.

Postdoctoral Psychological Assistant 

Job Description:

As a Postdoctoral Psychological Assistant at Thiving Minds Health Services, you will provide quality services to a diverse population, and work with our team of clinicians to uphold our mission and philosophy of care.  We provide treatment to traditionally underserved populations that is strengths-based, evidence-informed, and client-centered. 

This position is designed to provide you with the 1750 hours of supervised clinical postdoctoral training required for licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Psychological assessments according to company policy and standards 

  • Conduct intake evaluations 

  • Conduct Group and Individual Therapy sessions 

  • Administer and interpret psychological tests, generate reports and provide feedback

  • Complete psychological discharge summaries in a timely manner 

  • Advocate for the best interests of clients

  • Generate a concise treatment plan to meet clients’ needs and meets compliance for third party payors  

  • Keep consistent communication on the progress towards treatment plan

  • Maintain proper boundaries when interacting with clients and their families, as well as others associated with the case

Other duties assigned by direct supervision of licensed psychologists will be specified upon meeting. 

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

  • Registration as a psychological assistant with the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Knowledge of evidence based practices and psychotherapy research methods 

  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity for given responsibilities
